Blake Bixler

Executive Vice President – Commercial

Prior to joining EagleClaw Midstream, Mr. Bixler worked at Chesapeake Midstream and its successor, Access Midstream. During this time, Mr. Bixler worked in the engineering & construction, business development and gas supply groups covering the Mid-Continent/Anadarko Basin. Mr. Bixler brings experience in financial modeling and analysis, commercial negotiations and project development. While at Chesapeake Midstream, Mr. Bixler worked on over $900 million in planned greenfield investment including:

  • The 210 mile Glass Mountain Pipeline joint venture to gather crude oil in Western Oklahoma in partnership with SemGroup and Gavilon, which later bought Chesapeake’s interest.
  • Gathering systems in Western Oklahoma for Cleveland/Tonkawa production, which was later sold to Enogex.
  • The 200 MMcf/d Buffalo Creek processing plant in the Granite Wash, which was later sold to MarkWest.
  • The 200 MMcf/d Rose Valley processing plants and associated gathering systems in the Miss Lime, which was later sold to SemGroup.

Prior to working in the energy industry, Mr. Bixler spent time at NCT Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund, and Premium Natural Beef, a startup in the agriculture industry.

Mr. Bixler received a Bachelor of Science in agribusiness at Oklahoma State University, where he was named the top graduate in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Mr. Bixler also received an MBA degree from Ohio State University.
